The Center's Origin and Philosophy

Founded in 1984 by Diann Braun, MA, the Center for Creative Living, Inc. has expanded in staff, services, and spirit of community. Diann's idea was to bring together a group of dedicated professionals who recognized the unity of the Mind/Body/Spirit - a unique concept at that time when the traditions of Medical Model therapy prevailed in the field of Mental Health. With a background of Mental Health administration, a degree in psychology, and a mission, she has succeeded in maintaining the clinic's independence from the limitations of managed care.

The staff of the Center for Creative Living is a group of highly trained and skilled professionals who utilize traditional and complementary therapies.   They model self-care and responsibility, living with purpose, integrity, and dedication to the clients who choose to join with them in the healing process.

The Center for Creative Living fills a special niche in the field of mental health providers. Weekend workshops, specialty groups and classes grew out of the clients' needs for intense work in specific areas. These programs have proven to be powerful, life changing experiences for hundreds of people who find their way to the Center.
